Dear Parents,
Arabic and Islamic Week –Learning a new language in the foundation years must be interactive, fun and interesting. This enables a child to learn the language in a novel way, paving the way to endless success stories. This special week gave every child an opportunity to participate in activities during the Arabic and Islamic Week where students gained knowledge and information about the important facts on UAE and Islamic values of community service and how to behave with others. They did this by participating in an inter-class quiz based on all the information they have learnt so far during their Circle Time, and by participating in a Special Assembly through song and dance, discussions and presentations in class.
World Environment Day- It’s always our endeavor to create a new and stimulating learning environment for the little ones. This week we introduced them to the term ‘World Environment Day’. All students took turns to visit the ‘Kinder Garden’ especially set up for them. They learn about seeds, plants and how to care for them. Each section planted seeds in their own flower pot. They will explore and discover how plants grow.
Parent Consultation Meeting - We are glad that most parents made it to the PCM held on the 4th of June. We hope it was an interactive and productive session for you. We are sure that the concerned teachers discussed the way forward for your child.
Parental Advice - The WAY we talk to our children has a huge impact on their learning and ability to listen to us. An assertive way of communicating is firm, consistent, clear, positive, warm and confident. Communicating with children in an assertive way is a real skill that shows Mum and Dad know what they’re talking about and to listen. The article below, shows parents positive ways to interact with children and how to talk so that your children will listen.
